These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Career Pilot AI's website and services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Who We Are

Career Pilot AI is an online platform offering AI-powered career preparation tools such as interview practice, resume analysis, note generation, and flashcard generation.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent/guardian. You may not use the Services if prohibited by applicable law.

3) Accounts and Security

Some features require an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information;
• Keep your login credentials confidential; and
• Notify us of unauthorized use.

You are responsible for activity on your account.

4) Plans, Payments, Subscriptions

Career Pilot AI may offer free and paid access. Plan details and pricing are shown on our website and may change over time.

No refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable, because the Services are delivered digitally and access is provided immediately.

Exception: If applicable law in your country requires refunds in certain situations, we will comply with that law.

Cancellation

If your plan includes auto-renewal (where available), you must cancel before renewal to avoid additional charges. Cancellation affects future renewals and does not retroactively refund previous charges (unless required by law).

5) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Break any law or regulation;
• Upload content you do not have rights to use;
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, or exploit the Services;
• Reverse engineer, copy, or extract the Services' source code, systems, models, or proprietary prompts except where prohibited by law;
• Use the Services to generate or distribute illegal, harmful, or deceptive content; or
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

6) User Content (Uploads and Inputs)

You keep ownership of what you upload or submit ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant Career Pilot AI a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display that User Content only to:

• Provide the Services (including generating outputs from your inputs),
• Maintain and secure the platform, and
• Improve reliability and user experience (as described in our Privacy Policy).

You represent that you have all rights needed to submit User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

7) AI Outputs and Disclaimers

The Services generate outputs based on your inputs. You understand that:

• Outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate;
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying outputs before using them; and
• Career Pilot AI does not guarantee job offers, interviews, hiring outcomes, promotions, exam results, or any specific results.

Career Pilot AI is not a law firm, medical provider, or financial advisor, and the Services do not provide professional advice.

8) Intellectual Property

Career Pilot AI owns (or licenses) the Services, including software, design, logos, and all related intellectual property, except for User Content you provide.

You may not use Career Pilot AI branding or trademarks without written permission.

9) Third-Party Services

The Services may rely on third-party services (e.g., payment processing, hosting, analytics). We are not responsible for third-party services and they may have their own terms and policies.

10) Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms,
• Your use creates risk or legal exposure, or
• We discontinue the Services (in whole or part).

You may stop using the Services at any time.

11) Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available."

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Career Pilot AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Career Pilot AI's total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of:

• The amount you paid to Career Pilot AI in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or
• USD $50 (or the equivalent in your local currency).

Some countries do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13) Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Career Pilot AI from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

• Your User Content,
• Your use of the Services,
• Your violation of these Terms, or
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights.

14) Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, email: privacy@careerpilotai.com with:

• Your contact information,
• A description of the copyrighted work,
• The URL/location of the allegedly infringing content,
• A statement of good-faith belief, and
• A statement made under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.

15) Dispute Resolution; Governing Law

We encourage you to contact us first at privacy@careerpilotai.com to resolve any issue informally.

Unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country say otherwise:

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the country/jurisdiction where Career Pilot AI has its principal place of business, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
• Disputes will be handled in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that location.

If you live in a country that grants you the right to bring disputes in your local courts (for example, certain consumer law regimes), those rights remain unaffected.

16) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and revise the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
